GHOST IN THE POST 1: CRESTFELL HOUSE

It’s 1948 and the Hargrove family are relocating to Devon, moving into the old house bequeathed to them in the last will and testament of the children’s great aunt. They’re all in need of a fresh start, having experienced considerable trauma in recent times. However, Crestfell House isn’t a place for new beginnings… what will follow is a year long descent into dread and terror.

SO WHAT IS IT?

Told over the course of a year through a series of letters, diary entries, journals and notes, the fate of the Hargrove family will be brought to you through the post, making the receipt of snail mail something to look forward to once more.

In each delivery you will receive two separate entries to the tale, as well as a further two additional side pieces - illustrations, extracts, materials from the story - to make the experience more tactile and engaging then simply reading a book.

Also, the story in its entirety is novel-length - over 66.6K words - so you get the depth and detail you’d expect from a thoroughly good read. Characters are at its heart, and you will come to care for them as you get to know them over the months that follow, almost as if they were writing directly to you! But will they survive Crestfell House?

The Hargrove family move into the house in October 1948, which is why I’m launching that month. However, you can start whenever you like - you’ll get their correspondence from that first optimistic month, whichever time you choose to begin. The story will then unfold for you across the year.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

You have a few different ways to engage - whichever suits you best. You can either buy three months’ worth to try it out. Just remember to subscribe again when it finishes to get the next three months of story! (We’ll keep track of which part you’re up to.)

Or you can save in the long run by purchasing the whole package: 12 months of GHOST IN THE POST. This option also includes a storage box for the letters, and stickers with which to customize it, free of charge. (This can be purchased separately, for those following the 3 month option).

Also, you can opt for receiving the letters twice a month or once a month. If you choose once a month, you get exactly the same content, just packaged slightly differently, to provide alternative cost options. This is a UK-based product, and shipping costs abroad are very pricey. Be aware that UK customers have postage included in their price, but non-UK readers will have an additional cost added at checkout.
